Our Christmas Blog 12-3-13
It's the Most Wonderful Time of the YEAR! Especially here at Morrison Floral Co.
Well since we haven't had but a couple of really small weddings the last couple of months I thought that I would just blog about our shop and let you in on a few things that are happening here at Morrison's.
Since it's Christmas, Mrs. Claus (Ann) and one of our Elves (Michael) have been busy working on getting all the decorations up in the shop. Our shop looks Amazing. She has created several different vignettes each one is unique.
Here's a few snapshots of each one.

So what do you think? Doesn't it look pretty? Christmas is such a Wonderful time of the year.... The other thing that we have been working on is our Poinsettias.
As some of you know, we grow our own Poinsettias. We pride ourselves on what we produce and that is top quality poinsettias grown and cared for by one of our other Elf's (Randy) He grew up in this business and has learned from the best as too how to grow plants.
Our Poinsettias came in about 15 weeks ago and the were just little single twig cuttings. We have babied them and taken such great care of them and now they are full grown and are just Stunning. Here's a few shots of them from start too now.
This is the first week, they hardly had any foliage
on them when we got them.
These are about week 11, they are getting there but
still have a ways too go.
Now look at our Greenhouses, it's a sea of red.. Aren't they Beautiful
As the weeks progress we will be busy with getting Holiday Parties done and working on making Spectacular Christmas Floral Centerpieces. We hope that you have a Wonderful Holiday this year and we wish you the very best for the New Year to come.

Tara Essinger's Wedding 10-5-13...
Well Today is Tara Essingers wedding, it's kind of funny that we had two weddings this weekend and both of their first names are Tara.. It's kind of confusing around here. Oh well it's been a fun week for us here at Morrison's...
Just a little bit about Tara, she is just a very bubbly sweet young lady. She is marring Corey Douglas and unfortunately we have not had the chance too meet him. Seems in this industry that you only really get to meet the Bride. We do know that after the Wedding they are heading to St Lucia for their Honeymoon trip and they are planning on going Scuba diving.. Sounds like fun too me...
Tara and Corey are getting married at the Creekside Chapel, this place is a Wonderful location to have a Wedding at. They are having the ceremony and reception at the same location. The wedding starts at 6pm tonight..
The Bride has chosen some wonderful flowers and colors for her Special Day. The flowers that we are using are Scabiosa pods, dusty miller for greenery, dahlias, gerbera daisies, garden roses, alstromeria, succulents and hypercium berry's. And for that extra touch Tara brought us bundles of wheat to add to everything. That touch of wheat is just perfect...
The colors are red, orange, yellow, dark plum, the natural wheat color and off white roses for the brides bouquets.
She has 4 attendants for her party and they have similar versions of the brides bouquets they just don't have the off white added to their bouquets. All the bouquets from the Brides to the Bridesmaids are hand gathered and they range in sizes from 10" for the Bride too 7" for the Bridesmaids. The Bridesmaids are wearing Grey colored dresses..
For the Groom and Groomsmen they too are wearing Grey colored tux's, for their boutonnieres we are doing a simple style with wheat, scabiosa pods, alstromeria and hypericum berries.
At the ceremony we are doing two stately floral arrangements that are on tall wrought iron pedestals that will flank each side of the Bride and Groom. These will also get double use and be moved to the reception and flank the cake table. This is a good double use of the flowers.
The reception has 12 tables, we are using the Brides and Bridesmaids bouquet's for the centerpieces and adding in additional bouquets too match for half of the tables. For the other half Tara has found these really cute lanterns that we are embellishing around the base with fresh flowers.

This is the Adorable couple. Meet Tara and Corey..
Congratulations too both of them on their big day today...
Instead of just placing the Bridesmaids bouquets
in plain vases, Tara picked these. Aren't these
cool looking?
The tall wrought iron stands that the large
floral bouquets will sit on.
Look at these Beautiful Alstromeria that we
are using. The color is stunning.
Dark plum colored Dahlias.
Orange colored Dahlias.

Close up of the Bridesmaids bouquets. Look at the colors and the texture. These are Stunning... Love the Wheat accent, oh and the dusty miller just finishes these

Latest Weddings this weekend from Morrison Floral Company
Here's a few of our weddings from this weekend...
Sorry guys we are swamped this weekend and we haven't had the opportunity to get a lot of detailed wedding work on here. This is just a brief view of what we have done so far this weekend and we still have three more that we are producing.
The first bride of the weekend is Ashley Paterson. Her wedding was unusual. She chose to do white with black accents for all her flowers. Her bouquet was made in the floribunda look with lite green mini hydrangeas and gerbera daisies with black centers, black berries and a white/cream garden rose. We incorporated some of the brides wedding dress material on the handle for that little extra touch.
The bridesmaids bouquets were smaller versions of the brides bouquet. The bouquets were Stunning. The choice of flowers and accents were perfect for what Ashley wanted. What was so cute were the kissing balls that we did for the flowers girls. They were done using lite green hydrangeas and black berries with black bows... Wow were they Amazing looking....
Here's a few pictures of the work that we did. More pictures will follow in a few weeks once we get them from wedding photographer.

The other wedding that we did was for Talitha Kilmer... This was a yellow wedding with blue accents. For her bouquet she had her grandmothers bible that we incorporated into a simple cascade. For this bouquet we used yellow gerbera daisies, yellow roses, blue hydrangeas and cream spray roses we also added in english ivy.
The bridesmaids bouquets were simple little bouquets with three yellow gerbera daisies with blue thistle and solidago.

She's Married Now!!! Natalie Trepangnier- Sainz 9-14-13
Mrs. Natalie Trepangnier-Sainz Wedding 9-14-13
Well she did it, She got married this last weekend and it was stunning. Her gown was stunning, it was snow white and strapless. The Bridesmaids wore simple below the knew dresses that were in a coral/orange color and they matched the tones of the bouquets perfectly.
The wedding started was a perfect flow throughout the evening, all the flowers were just right for this wedding. The aisle bouquets were just the right touch for this church alternated on each pew. They were simple and we did double use out of them. They were used on the aisles and then set on top of mercury glass containers as the floral centerpieces.
The stately church bouquets that we did looked amazing on each side of the church stage and they also got double use. At the reception we placed them on top of flared 36" clear glass vases. They were then placed on the food tables.
Not only did we use the aisle bouquets for the centerpieces but we incorporated two additional styles of arrangements, one was a black wrought iron tree that had hanging flowers and votives. The other was hanging mercury glass votives with floral embellishments around the base.
Everything for this Amazing wedding was just right... And the Bride LOVED everything that we did...

Natalie Trepangnier Wedding September 14th, 2013
September 12th 2013, Production has begun on Natalie Trepangnier's Wedding. We have been underway with this since yesterday and we are moving right along with the process.
For Natalie's Wedding, she chose flowers in the colors of oranges, red's ivory, lavender and dark purple. Using flowers like ranunculus, mango calla lily's, asters, green tric, berry's and statice flower.
For her bouquet she chose an elegant traditional cascade bouquet. That will have the same mix of flowers. For the Bridesmaids she chose a smaller version of her bouquet. We are loving the color and flower choices for this Wedding.
The corsages are simple but elegant looking, they consist of ranunculus the color choice is ours to make and we are leaning towards red. The grooms boutonniere is a cream mini calla's with orange ranunculus. We are doing kissing Balls for the flower girls.
St John the Baptist Church is where the wedding will be held. For this ceremony we are creating a large Arrangement to sit next to the Virgin Mary. Down the aisles we are alternating every other pew and doing a simple hand tied nosegay.
Two large floral arrangements will sit atop black wrought iron stands and then they are moved to the reception to be used on food tables.
The reception will be held at Gaillardia Country Club. For the centerpieces we are doing four different styles. The first one is a double mercury glass hanging votive holder that we will adding flowers to the base of these.
The second is a black iron tree with hanging votives and some will have flowers. For the third we are using the Bridesmaids bouquets on the bistro tables. The last one is three simple arrangements for the head table.
Below are picture of everything that is going on here at Morrison Floral Company for this wedding...
This is similar to the double mercury glass we are using.
Iron Trees with hanging votives
Bridesmaids bouquets, these will get the orange and red ranunculus added to them. Love this flower combination.

Sarah Gilchrist's Wedding Today 9-7-13
Sarah Gilchrist's Wedding
So we are all geared up and ready for this amazing woman's wedding today.
Her bouquets are stunning looking and the centerpieces are great looking too..
All her flowers consisted of garden roses, succulents, hydrangeas, buronia, Scabiosa pods. The colors are cream, blush, coral, and lite peach. Her bouquet is a hand gathered look and Ann Kint our Amazing Wedding Designer has done and Fabulous job.
The boutonnieres are made out of succulents, berry's and dusty miller.
The wristlets are made out of the same flowers that the bridal bouquet.
For the bridesmaids we did smaller versions of the brides bouquets. Each one has the same mix of colors and flowers.
For the ceremony she is getting married at her parents Gorgeous Home. The ceremony is in the back yard and they have a really cool looking arbor. We are adding curly willow to the arbor with running flowers throughout.
Down the aisle we are doing shepherd hooks with arrangements in mason jars that will be hanging down the aisle
She chose to do the centerpieces in several different styles, one style is a black lantern with candles in them, then she chose to do some tall centerpieces in clear glass vases with the same flowers that are in her bouquet. The last centerpiece is a small version of the large one...
Here are some pictures of the work that we have done so far, now it's hurry up and wait too go set up.. We'll post more pictures after the Wedding...
