Our Amazing Greenhouse...

The Greenhouse is filled to the MAX…

So with spring fast approaching we our greenhouse is filling up fast. Right now we are still looking at least another 2 ½ to 3 weeks before everything is ready to be planted out in your yard, but not the less we are filled full with plants.

For all you plant lovers, here is a list of the plants that we have in stock now. We will keep you informed as to when you can start planting. And always remember if you need any assistance with your plants or plantings please give us a call and we will be more than happy to help you with your questions. Our Horticulturist is always available with a vast knowledge of growing issues that you might have.

I’m throwing in a few pictures of the greenhouses so that you can see how full we are and then I will list everything that we have in stock. Remember folks we have over 30,000 thousand square feet of greenhouses... Stop in and see them if you haven't ever been in before.

It's Growing Time....

The Greenhouse is getting full… 

It’s been a couple of weeks since my last blog; we have been very busy in the greenhouse. It is starting to get filled up with all the spring flowers that you all love. The baby plantings that I showed you in our last blog now have had a chance to root and start growing and some have grown quite a bit in the two weeks.

We have all your favorites like Sweet Potato Vine, Zinnias, Dragon wing Begonias, Angelonia, Bacopa, Geraniums and the all-time wonder plant for getting rid of mosquitos Citronella.  We will have all our plants ready to sell within the next three weeks.

With this winter hanging on like it has been, we feel that some of the spring planting will be delayed for at least a couple of weeks. We will give an update as to when we feel it is time to start planting.

We hope to see you soon loading up your cars with our beautiful plants that will make your garden look stunning this year… Happy almost Spring everyone..

It's Looking Like Spring Around Here...

Ahhhh Spring!!!

Are you like us and ready for spring? Well we are getting a running start on the spring plants. We just received about 1000 cuttings that now it’s up to us to make them grow to where you can come in and pick them up to plant in your yard. We received Dragon Wing Begonias, Coleus plants, Zinnia plants and Angelonia plants. Randy our Greenhouse man is in the midst of re planting them all. They come in long trays that have anywhere from 120 plants to a tray up to 200 plants. Below are some pictures of what just came in…

Whoosh It's Over!!!

Whoosh it's Over!!!

Well Valentine’s Day is over and we made it through… It was a mad rush around here on Wednesday, Thursday and especially Friday. The flowers were flying…. LOL The major part of our work was Dozen Red Roses; those were what were ordered most out of everything else.

The numbers are not counted yet but we did a ton of flowers, at any given time our back cooler that is about 25’ x 25’ was full of not only with our loose flowers but all the arrangements that we had made up ready for delivery. We had 7 drivers those three days and the trucks were full each trip. We covered most all of the Oklahoma City area and even went to Edmond which is kind of out of our delivery area.

Now the cleanup begins, we are trying to regroup and get the shop back in working order. Most people don’t realize all the work and effort that goes into doing a major Holiday like this. It takes about two weeks of planning and ordering all the flowers and sometimes it’s kind of guess work as to how much to order and what all that we think that we will be selling in those three days.

Then it comes down to all the additional staff that we need to make this happen. We had 7 designers and 5 people on the phones. And all in all things went smoothly for us this year. We hope that those of you that ordered your flowers and either picked them up or had them delivered we hope that you were pleased with what we did for you and we hope that you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day…

And Valentine's Rush Begins...
February 12th 2014

So now the madness begins. The phones are ringing off the walls.. lol  We are just beginning to get phone orders for Valentine's flowers. As a jack of all trades in the floral industry I have seen it all and done it all.. Just sayin 

In not trying to offend anyone I am  just wondering, but why do people wait till the last minute to order flowers for this special day?  Everyone knows when Valentine's Day is but it just seems that everyone waits till the very last minute to order their flowers. Most everyone expects to have their flowers delivered on Valentine's Day and if you only knew how many orders that we get and deliver in that one day it would blow your mind as how we get it all done..

As you saw from my last post the preparations that we go through in order to make everything al little easier for this one day. Here's some pictures of everyone working to get it all prepared. I'm not sure if I will be able to post anything else until after the mad rush ends.. And Remember to order your flowers TODAY.... Just Sayin... LOL

Eerie Quietness, February 10-2014

There is an Eerie Quietness about the shop this morning... Seems in this business of  doing flowers that you have these moments right before the Poop hit's the fan.. LOL Nearly every major Holiday happens this way, seems that everyone knows that Valentine's Day is only 4 days away but for some reason the phones don't start ringing until just the day before the Big Day..

Well for all of you last minute callers we want to tell you that if you order your flowers and have them delivered either the 12th or the 13th you will receive either choice of a heart shaped box of Chocolate Fudge (Yummm) or a mylar balloon. So remember when you call in to ask us about our special offer to you for having your flowers delivered early.
